Website Care.

Care keeps a PDA-built website healthy, findable, backed up, and current after launch: hosting, updates, health checks, and a plain-English note each month.

What we actually do

A good website is not a crockpot. You do not launch it, wander off, and assume everything quietly remains perfect forever. Browsers change, plugins or dependencies age, search consoles complain, links break, redirects drift, and business details need updating.

Care is the practical maintenance layer: hosting, SSL, backups, uptime monitoring, content updates inside the agreed monthly window, and routine checks that keep the website reliable.

It also preserves search readiness. That means crawlability, redirects, metadata integrity, sitemap and schema health, page-speed hygiene, and Search Console issue review. It does not mean PDA is selling a standalone SEO retainer or promising rankings.

When something falls outside Care, we estimate it clearly before work starts. New page builds, campaign work, content production, and custom functionality stay scoped as separate projects.

The monthly note is the part owners actually notice. It is plain English, not a dashboard export: what was checked, what changed, what is healthy, and what deserves a decision. If nothing needs a decision, it says that too.

Care also keeps the business facts current. Hours, phone, service area, offers, and proof drift quietly in every small business, and a site that publishes stale facts costs real customers. Inside the agreed window, those updates are part of the service, not a new invoice.

And because the same person who built the site maintains it, there is no handoff layer where context dies. When something breaks, the person diagnosing it wrote the code and knows where the bodies are buried.

Care is deliberately unglamorous. The goal is that nothing ever becomes an emergency: no expired certificate, no broken form quietly costing leads for a month, no plugin update that takes the layout with it. Most months that means quiet checks and a short note. The months it prevents a real problem are the months it pays for itself.

Common questions

Is Care required?
No. Foundation and Framework are website builds. Care is the recurring layer if you want PDA to keep the site hosted, maintained, monitored, and updated after launch.
Is Care an SEO retainer?
No. Care preserves the technical health of the website: crawlability, redirects, metadata, schema, sitemap, page-speed hygiene, and Search Console issue review. It is not a monthly ranking campaign.
What if I need new pages later?
Small edits can fit inside Care when they are within the support window. New page builds or larger changes are scoped and approved separately.
What counts as an approved update?
Content changes that fit inside the agreed monthly window: new photos, edited service descriptions, updated hours or offers, proof swaps, small copy changes. Bigger structural work is estimated separately, before it starts.
Can I cancel Care?
Yes. Care is a month-to-month service, not a lock-in. The website remains yours, and the handoff includes the hosting and backup context you need to run it elsewhere.
What does the monthly note actually tell me?
What was checked, what was updated, what is healthy, and whether anything needs a decision or a separate estimate. It is a few short paragraphs an owner can read in a minute, not a dashboard you have to interpret.

Estimated Project Timeline

How Care runs each month. It is intentionally boring in the best possible way: check, fix, report, and flag anything bigger before it becomes a mess.

  1. Health Check (Monthly). Review uptime, backups, forms, crawlability, redirects, and obvious site issues.
  2. Search Console Review (Monthly). Check indexing, page experience, sitemap, and crawl issues that could affect discoverability.
  3. Approved Updates (As needed). Make content updates that fit inside the agreed monthly support window.
  4. Maintenance Note (Monthly). Send a plain-English summary of what changed, what is healthy, and what needs a separate estimate.

Use this as context. Pick the package next.

If this work matters to your project, it belongs inside Foundation, Framework, or Care. Start with the package, then send Eric the scope.
