How to know when Foundation isn't enough.

A simple checklist for when it's time to step up from a one-page site to a Framework build. Spoiler: most businesses don't need to.

Foundation is our most common tier, and it's where most of our clients stay forever. About 60% of Foundation clients never need anything more.

But sometimes Foundation legitimately isn't enough. Here are the signals we look for.

Step up to Framework when:

  1. You offer 4+ distinct services that each need their own page to rank in Google
  2. You're getting calls from your single-page site but losing leads because the page can't qualify them
  3. You're competing for local search against companies with multi-page sites and active SEO
  4. Your business model includes "convert visitors into a multi-step quote".. that needs more than one page
  5. You can confidently say "twelve more leads a month would change my business".. and you've done the math

Stay at Foundation when:

You're a single-shingle business with steady word-of-mouth. You'd take ten more leads a year, not a month. You're not ready to write or commission a blog. You're testing whether a website is even part of how you'd grow.

The Foundation-to-Framework conversation should be a real one. Don't let anybody talk you into a larger site before the business actually needs more structure.
